I choose this picture for Our Family Tree when I  started to put The  Phillips Family Trees together; partly because I took the picture my self, and also, for the things it reminds me of when I look at it. When I look at these trees I see tall strong trunks, with outward reaching arms.  Like the base of our family.  Long beautiful limbs reaching out to hug each other like our families do, yet they are spaced just enough away from each other, so each tree will will have the light it needs to grow.  When I see these trees I see decades of grandparents compounded into the trunk; bound together with the bark so the tree will continue to grow from one generation to another.  I see the Seniors of those families began to  fade into the background so more light can shine on the younger generations. The lower limbs represent our young men and  women as  they go about their daily jobs so they can support the leaves that cling to them for life.  I see our young adults in the leaves as they struggle for the light.  I see the buds that represent our small ones, for they are the ones that will keep these trees growing.  But that is not all I see when I look at these trees.  I see the Beautiful Spanish Moss draped around these trees, and that, to me, represents the love and care of all of us for one another.  That's what  family means:  Standing alone but yet entwined together  for always.  It takes us all to build a tree and in our case we built a forest.  I see the trees,  the grass, the moss and all the low growing plants as a small community signifying Families and friends that depends on each other for life, love, and support.  These trees remind me so much of our family.  Strong and standing tall but yet still need a hug once in a while.   God provided the Light.     Now Here is a hug for you  hhhhhhhuuugggg*

So now, Every one enjoy YOUR  Phillips Family Trees.    The work is always in process.              blu. . . .
