Hello Phillips Clan. I put the information available to me on our site.
This one is for Uncle Ace and Aunt Geneva.
Mother and dad to some, but dear and wonderful people to all of us.
I did not realize that they lost so many babies in
their lifetime. How they overcame
this had to be the lords doing, but I Can tell you losing a little one can rip
your heart right out. We have had it happen to us, but not like this.
One great couple lost four of their beautiful children under the age of
10.
My Uncle
Ace was my funny Uncle - he always made me laugh.
I missed him when he did not live close to us like we all used to. I can
remember as a little girl when Mom and Dad said Uncle ACE AND AUNT Geneva were
going to visit I would get so excited. I
knew, before he left town, he would make you happy that you got to see
him. As a small child those were special moments for me.
I think My Aunt Geneva was the hardest working woman in the world and the
most organized. I always wondered
how she did it. Now I know If you
want some thing done, and done right, you will do it yourself.
There were very few times that I would see her on that front porch just
relaxing. I remember the card games
and the music and mostly the summers when they would come visit.
I cannot remember the last time I saw him, but I think Gene and I took
Momma down to see him and Aunt Sis in the late 1970's.
The last time I got to see aunt sis she cooked squirrel for all of us for
dinner. It was fit for a King.
My memories of Uncle Ace are all fond memories -
he was always laughing and enjoying life, but he took it serious too.
He spent most of his life as a Minister and
never was he ashamed to call Jesus his personal savior.
I am Positive his faith pulled him and Aunt Geneva through their hard
times and they are proud parents, and grandparents, and great grandparents this
is the list of their Children.

My uncle Ace married Aunt Geneva in Whitewright, Texas in 1933. He is the youngest son of Mary Ann Kelsey and Wiley M Phillips. According to the 1910 census there was a younger sister listed as a two year old in Atoka, Okla. Her name was Minni.
Through my family search I have found a sister of Mary Emauline Daniel. Martha Lou if you want to know who you’re named after well, I would believe that you were named after Martha Louise Daniel Steeley. I have pictures of her but I do not have permission to use them as of this moment so it will have to wait. I Will bring them to the Family reunion so you guys can see them. All you people who went to Calhoun Grade School need to write me a story about our old school so I can add it to our site. Remember, if we want to keep our memories alive we need to work on it now, See you in July! BLLLLLLlUUUuuuuuu
